Get yourself registered for our January leagues as soon as possible as slots fill up quickly. Treat yourself to an early Christmas present and sign up by December 5th, and get priority registration to save some money!!
Broomball has been one of Sports Monster`s most popular sport in Denver in the winter and now we are taking it indoors! The Cherry Creek rink has been closed permanently. For this year, Sports Monster is offering convenient week nights the One Boulder Rink in Boulder and weekend leagues at Big Bear indoor ice rink at Lowry. Due to VERY limited space, you need to register as quickly as possible to get your team or yourself a spot. If you are signing up by yourself or with a couple of friends, be sure to include 3 options of what day you can play.
Curious about this fun sport?
If you haven`t played Broomball before, think of it as a combination of ice hockey and floor hockey, but played with brooms and without skates. Sports Monster will be providing the sticks, balls and helmets - so all you have to do is show up (you do need mouthguards too). Broomball-specific shoes are available at SportLine or other athletic stores, but if you don`t feel like spending the extra money - gym shoes work just fine.
Each team will have 5 players (3 men/2 women) on the ice at one time. We recommend having at least 10 players on your roster to allow for subbing and player absences.
Because of the short amount of time we have to complete a season, the leagues typically consist of a 6-week schedule, with all teams playing 6 regular season games and the winner is the team with the best overall record.
Match times run 45 minutes and most leagues run in the evening with varied start times. Please note that due to unpredictable weather, this is subject to change and games may have to be played on different nights to complete the season if possible.
Although many full teams register, Sports Monster encourages individuals and groups to register as we do create new independent teams each season.
This is sure to be a great time! And it only comes around twice a year for a short time - so don`t miss out!

How to register to play:
- Click Upcoming Programs in the menu to the left under the sport for a full listing of what is starting soon.
- Click the Info & Pricing prompt for full outline of any specific program you see listed. You may opt to register within the Info & Pricing prompt at the bottom of that screen.
- Once you know the program you want to sign up to play, click either Team Register or Individual Register prompts.
- Note: If you are signing up a full team, the Team fee is what you pay with applicable per player fees. Individuals who sign up by themselves pay the Individual fee plus applicable per player fees.
How are you Registering? A full team with captain paying? A team who wants each player to register and pay to play separately? A group? Or by yourself? All options are found under the Registration prompt found to the left menu bar or via the prompts under Upcoming Programs...
- For captains registering a full team, click the Team option.
- For captains starting a team who want their players to pay Sports Monster individually, click the Register as an Individual and when prompted for who you want to play with, list the team name and instruct your players to do the same. As long as the minimum roster size is met by the start of the league, Sports Monster will honor these individually paid rosters.
- For an individual signing up more than one person, click the Register Myself and Friends option.
- For an individual signing up to play with a friend who will pay separately, click the Register as an Individual option and list your friend(s) when asked who you want to play with.
- If you are signing up by yourself, click the Register as an Individual option
Note that some programs are listed as a Fire Sale. These are specially priced leagues and/or pricing that is available for a limited time.
