Sports Monster Proudly Presents:
Kickball Bible
Coed Leagues!
Welcome! Here’s What You Need to Know for This Season…
1) Game Scoring:
Single-point runs score all games.
Games are won by a one-run advantage.
The referee prior to each inning announces scores:
(example: kicking team has two runs and fielding team has three runs = 2 – 3—top of the 5th.)
Teams switch hitting/fielding following each three-out rotation.
Contact SMC rep with any game rules or fault infraction questions regarding scoring.
Tie games will be scored as such.
Weekly summaries will show team standings by games and total runs scored.
2) Starting the Game:
Games are to be started no later than 10 minutes into the hour. Try to arrive early!
A practice area may be available for warm-up, so arrive early and get warmed up.
Games WILL start on time, so be on time!
A one RUN penalty will be assessed by SMC for each 10 minutes a team is late.
Hitting team is determined by flipping a coin with winning team determining preference of batting or fielding. In playoffs, home team will be determined by standings.
(In playoffs, the Higher Seed receives HOME TEAM automatically.)
3) Forfeits:
All around bad news. This is a big SMC no-no and all will be frowned upon. A forfeit will be declared if there are less than 6 registered players from an individual team at the following times:
One run lost 10 min. into the hour
Two runs lost 15 min. into hour
Three runs lost 20 min. into the hour
Full game lost 25 min. into hour
If your team has 4 (indoor)/6 (outdoor) or more registered players but less than a full complement, a legal game can be played with or without substitutes. (You can play with the maximum number of males and 1 female and still play a game without forfeiting).
A forfeit will automatically score the offending team as 0-1, 0-15.
Three forfeits by any team will mean an automatic ejection from the league without refund.
SUBSTITUTION POLICY
Substitutes from other Sports Monster kickball teams are allowed and encouraged.
Opposing team may not challenge a Sports Monster substitute.
Substitutes from outside Sports Monster teams are allowed as follows:
Substitute must register with Sports Monster representative before the game. Failure to register a new sub will result in that player not being allowed to play.
Opposing team may challenge suspected ineligible substitute to SMC rep, but this must be done before game begins.
PLAYOFF SUBSTITUTES:
You must play with your registered players in the playoffs.
SMC - Registered players will be defined as those signed on the waiver (2) |
