Weather is heating up and so is the urge to play! There are multiple outdoor leagues forming now to satisfy your soccer crave!

Sports Monster is soccer in Chicago. Period. We organize the largest adult soccer leagues in the state of Illinois and are the default name for quality soccer in the Chicago area. When you play with Sports Monster, you are playing on the best fields and indoor facilities available in the city.

Sports Monster outdoor leagues are conveniently located throughout the north side including the turf fields at River Park and Hawthorne Park and the addition of Montrose West in the summer season. Under the lights or under the sky on the weekends, get out on the pitch with Sports Monster.

Prefer the indoor game? Play coed, women`s or men`s at Windy City Fieldhouse for a fun season. Or try the brand NEW Chicago Indoor Soccer facility at 3900 S Ashland. Beautiful new turf fields await your indoor play.

We are all about you having fun on the field. Our matches have paid referees, start and end on time. and promote good sportsmanship and solid competition.

Whether you have a complete team, a group of up to 7 (outdoor) or 4 (indoor) or are signing up by yourself, you will find a soccer home with Sports Monster.

You can choose to play either indoors or outdoors in coed, men`s or women`s formats. The following will outline the skill levels and outdoor roster descriptions.

• Majors: Coed or Mens formats. You want real 90 minute soccer action? Sports Monsters Majors level is the league for you.
  
  We are talking the highest skill level of play found outside of traveling club teams in Illinois. The majority of players will have Division III-Division I background, or at the least, played IMs or high school and have continued to play regularly since. Regardless of previous league experience, all players are skilled and knowledgeable in the dynamics of the sport.
  
  Passing is crisp, defense is sharp, throw-ins are strong and goalkeeping is solid for a fast paced full hour and a half of play. Majors is the only men`s skill level that permits slide-tackling. Our referees expect nothing less than to officiate players who know the game and who are out for a great match.
  
  Coed format only available = 7 men/4 women on field at all times. Weekend leagues only.
  
  
• Competitive: Sports Monster`s most popular level of soccer, the Competitive level is played in two 25 minute halfs.
  
  When you play Competitive, you will be playing against teams whose majority of players are skilled. College experience is not uncommon but the majority of players will have IM, high school or other soccer league experience. There will be few unskilled players at this level.
  
  Overall game play is solid and players are expected to understand the majority of soccer rules. All penalties are enforced including offsides. Slide-tackling is not permitted.
  
  Competitive is offered in coed, men`s and women`s formats. Matches are offered, depending on format, on weeknights or weekends. Coed = 7 men/4 women on the field.
  
  
• Intermediate/Competitive: Not too sure you are up to Competitive but do not want to play at the Recreational level? Sports Monsters Intermediate/Competitive could be just right for you.
  
  This is our lowest skill level league that is played on a full field. If you have not played much or have not played in a long time, Intermediate/Competitive would be a good option.
  
  At this level, teams will have very few skilled players. The majority of players will have limited experience and/or are out to play in a real league for the first time. Leagues are offered on the weekends and weeknight. Coed and womens formats are available. Coed = 7 men/4 women on the field.
  
  
• Recreational: This is a great way for you to get into soccer if you have not played before. It is laid back--no big expectations for skill levels. This is our most basic soccer league and is the only one not played on a full field--no offsides! Offered in a Coed 8 on 8 format, Recreational leagues are played on a shortened field, without goalies and with goals that are similar to indoor sized goals.
  
  At the Recreational level, you will be playing with people who are just out to play soccer. There will be very few skilled players, some players with AYSO or high school experience but the majority will have not played in a competitive league before. The pace will be slower with less controlled passing and more one kicks down the field. The referee will help in explaining specific rules and work on throw-ins with players looking to improve.

1. Click Upcoming Programs in the menu to the left (under the sport) for a full listing of what is starting soon.
2. Click the Info & Pricing prompt for full outline of any specific program you see listed. You may opt to register within the Info & Pricing prompt at the bottom of that screen.
3. Once you know the program you want to sign up to play, click either Team Register or Individual Register prompts.
4. Note: If you are signing up a full team, the Team fee is what you pay with applicable per player fees. Individuals who sign up by themselves pay the Individual fee plus applicable per player fees.

How are you Registering? A full team with captain paying? A team who wants each player to register and pay to play separately? A group? Or by yourself? All options are found under the Registration prompt found to the left menu bar or via the prompts under Upcoming Programs...

• For captains registering a full team, click the Team option.
• For captains starting a team who want their players to pay Sports Monster individually, click the Register as an Individual and when prompted for who you want to play with, list the team name and instruct your players to do the same. As long as the minimum roster size is met by the start of the league, Sports Monster will honor these individually paid rosters.
• For an individual signing up more than one person, click the Register Myself and Friends option.
• For an individual signing up to play with a friend who will pay separately, click the Register as an Individual option and list your friend(s) when asked who you want to play with.
• If you are signing up by yourself, click the Register as an Individual option
