What is broomball you may ask? Think of it as floor hockey on steriods, as you slide across the ice in shoes not skates! Check back for information on how you can get signed up today!
If you haven`t played Broomball before, think
of it as a combination of ice hockey and floor hockey, but played with
brooms and without skates. Sports Monster will be providing the sticks,
balls and helmets - so all you have to do is show up.
Broomball-specific shoes are available at SportLine or other athletic
stores, but if you don`t feel like spending the extra money - gym shoes
work just fine.
Broomball has been one of Sports Monster`s most popular sports in Denver & St. Louis so get out and see what all the hype is about! There is a small window of playing time, so we start in early January--depending on location. All leagues are played at outdoor rinks in Chicago.

Due to VERY limited space, you will need to register as quickly as possible to get your team or yourself a spot. If you are signing up by yourself or with a couple of friends, be sure to include options of what day you can play.

Each team will have 5 players on the ice at one time (3 men/ 2 women.) We recommend having at least 10 players to a team to account for illness, substitution and last minute cancellation.
Because of the short amount of time we have to complete a season, the leagues typically consist of a 6-week schedule, with all teams playing 6 regular season games and the winner is the team with the best overall record.
Match times run 45 minutes and most leagues run in the evening with 7:00 - 10:15 start times. Please note that due to unpredictable weather, this is subject to change and games may have to be played on different nights to complete the season if possible.
Although many full teams register, Sports Monster encourages individuals and groups to register as we do create new independent teams each season.
This is sure to be a great time! And it only comes around twice a year for a short time - so don`t miss out!

How are you Registering? A full team with captain paying? A team who wants each player to register and pay to play separately? A group? Or by yourself? All options are found under the Registration prompt found to the left menu bar or via the prompts under Upcoming Programs...
- For captains registering a full team, click the Team option.
- For captains starting a team who want their players to pay Sports Monster individually, click the Register as an Individual and when prompted for who you want to play with, list the team name and instruct your players to do the same. As long as the minimum roster size is met by the start of the league, Sports Monster will honor these individually paid rosters.
- For an individual signing up more than one person, click the Register Myself and Friends option.
- For an individual signing up to play with a friend who will pay separately, click the Register as an Individual option and list your friend(s) when asked who you want to play with.
- If you are signing up by yourself, click the Register as an Individual option
