Does the beautiful weather have you geared for baseball? Don't wory! Sports Monster will be offering leagues at various locations and nights. From Seward Park to Hamlin Park to Clarendon Park and many more, Sports Monster has you covered on the diamond this season! Even better, Sports Monster is offering pricing that will make it hard to resist! Be sure to check out all of our VERY affordable Softball leagues to see which one fits your softball craving.
Paid umpires, 9-weeks of leagues and up to 10 games, tournament play, prizes, socializing and more - Sports Monster has something for every type of softball player in Chicago.
Whether you have a team, a group of up to four (4), or are signing up by yourself, we will get you on the field for the upcoming season. Sports Monster softball is offered in three (3) skill levels:
- Recreational: It is all for fun here. Sure, people know how to play the game but the main focus is on getting together, hanging out, and playing some ball.
At the recreational level, you are looking at a lot more fielding errors, a possible adventure in pitching and less power hitting. But nobody`s getting all uptight because this is all for fun and camaraderie.
- Int/Comp: Sports Monsters lesser competitive level is primarily meant for those softball players that want to hit the diamond for good times and great fun.
The majority of the players understand the game but some don`t have the talent to compete at the competitive level or really are just there to have a good time without all the hassle of over-competitive people. Fielders are usually decent to good and there are a couple big boppers in the league.
- Competitive: If you`re looking to hit against the big boys and girls, than this is the level for you. The majority of the men`s leagues will form at this level.
There are few weaknesses on defense and offense and players are usually capable of hitting the long ball.

How to register to play:
- Click Upcoming Programs for a full listing of what is starting soon.
- Click on the league for full outline of any program you see listed.
- Once you know the program you want to sign up to play, click the select league tab next to the league of your choice and follow the prompts.
- Note: If you are signing up a full team, the Team fee is what you pay with applicable per player fees. Individuals who sign up by themselves pay the Individual fee plus applicable per player fees.
How are you Registering? A full team with captain paying? A team who wants each player to register and pay to play separately? A group? Or by yourself? All options are found under the Registration prompt found to the left menu bar or via the prompts
- For captains registering a full team, click the Team option.
- For captains starting a team who want their players to pay Sports Monster individually, click the Register as an Individual and when prompted for who you want to play with, list the team name and instruct your players to do the same. As long as the minimum roster size is met by the start of the league, Sports Monster will honor these individually paid rosters.
- For an individual signing up more than one person, click the Register Myself and Friends option.
- For an individual signing up to play with a friend who will pay separately, click the Register as an Individual option and list your friend(s) when asked who you want to play with.
- If you are signing up by yourself, click the Register as an Individual option
